Dunkirk star Barry Keoghan reveals whether he’ll make the move to Hollywood

Barry Keoghan has revealed whether he’s considering a move to Hollywood, as he makes a name for himself in the film industry.

The Dubliner, who previously starred in RTÉ crime drama Love/Hate, has been tipped as one to watch after landing a number of major roles – including Christopher Nolan’s Dunkirk.

The 24-year-old attended the film’s Irish premiere last night, and revealed whether he’s tempted by the bright lights of Tinseltown.

“Jesus, no. I feel that it’s a great place to be [LA], good vibes or whatever, but here I feel I have my feet on the ground, or in the mud as it may be,” he told the Herald.

“I’m surrounded by good people and I just think over there, it could go to my head and I don’t want that.

“Taking the movie home is unreal, as is getting to tell this story, which a lot of Irish people don’t know about. There were a lot of Irish in it but young lads don’t know about it.”

“I just feel very privileged to work on a film like this and to work with Chris [Christopher Nolan] because he’s one of the greats.

“He’s one of the greatest so for any actor you’d want to selfishly work with someone like that,” Barry explained.
