Irish actress to star alongside Andrew Garfield in 8 hour play

Irish actress Denise Gough will be starring alongside Hollywood hunk Andrew Garfield in an eight hour play.

Denise Gough was born and raised in Ennis, Co Clare, but left at age 15 to pursue acting in London.

The first act of the play lasts three and a half hours, and the second half is a further four hours.

The two acts will be shown on alternate evenings but this Saturday both instalments will be staged together, clocking up to nearly eight hours of theatre.

The show, which will be shown at the National Theatre in London, is entirely sold out with only a few balloted tickets left.

The majority of these are standing room only, which isn’t much good as you wouldn’t be very comfortable standing for eight hours.

The play is set in America in the 1980’s amidst the AIDS epidemic and the conservative Reagan administration.
