PICS: Kim and Kourtney Kardashian dazzle at The Promise premiere

Kim and Kourtney Kardashian showed their support for The Promise on Wednesday night.

The sisters looked incredible as they hit the red carpet for the premiere of the film, which is set during the Armenian genocide.

Kim wore a skintight gold high-necked dress with beige heels, while Kourtney took the plunge in a black pantsuit with nothing underneath.

Several other celebrities of Armenian descent were also there to support the movie, and the reality stars posed for photos with Cher and Westworld’s Angela Sarafian, who appears in the film.

Cher wore a leather jacket with a see-through top underneath along with wide-leg black trousers and a baker boy hat.

The Promise stars Oscar Isaac, Christian Bale and Charlotte Le Bon, and is a love triangle story set during the final years of the Ottoman empire and the Armenian genocide from 1915 to 1923.

There have been calls for governments around the world to recognise the massacres of Armenians as genocide, and 28 countries and 45 out of the 50 United States have done so to date.

Other countries have not officially acknowledged the killings as genocide due to relations with the Republic of Turkey, the successor state of the Ottoman Empire.

Kim has advocated for the recognition in the past, and in 2015 she travelled to the country and later baptised her daughter North in the Armenian quarter of Jerusalem.

“So proud of the movie #ThePromise,” Kim, whose father was a third generation Armenian-American, tweeted afterwards. “Everyone please go see it and finally hear the story of the Armenian people.”
