Prince William and Prince Harry reveal their final conversation with Princess Diana

Princes William and Prince Harry have revealed their last ever conversation with their mother Princess Diana – which was cut short.

Harry and William have taken part in a series of interviews for a new ITV documentary her life called Diana, Our Mother: Her Life and Legacy.

Opening up about their final time talking to their mum, Harry says he has to face the fact the conversation was cut short, for the rest of his life.

“I have to deal with that for the rest of my life’, he says in the ITV show.

“This is the first time the two of us have ever spoken about her as a mother. (It was) arguably probably a little bit too raw until this point. It’s still raw,” he explained.

William explained the pair were busy and wanted to get off the phone the last time they spoke to her.

“I think Harry and I were in a desperate rush to say ‘goodbye’, ‘see you later’ and ‘we’re going to go off’…

“If I’d known what would happen I wouldn’t have been so blasé about it. But that phone call sticks in my mind quite heavily.’

“And if I’d known that was the last time I was going to speak to my mother, the things I would have said to her… Looking back on it now it is incredibly hard,” Harry added.

Diana, Our Mother: Her Life and Legacy will air at 9pm on ITV tomorrow night.
