Adam West has died, aged 88.
The actor was best known for playing Batman in the famous 1960s TV series.
Adam was many people’s favourite Caped Crusader, as other actors filled the role throughout the years, died on Friday night in LA after a short battle with leukemia.
The actor died peacefully surrounded by his family and is survived by his wife Marcelle, six children, five grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
“Our dad always saw himself as The Bright Knight and aspired to make a positive impact on his fans’ lives. He was and always will be our hero,” his family said in a statement.
Although he wasn’t seen on TV much after his role as Batman, he later played the Mayor of Quahog in Family Guy, who’s name was also Adam West.
Tributes have been pouring in from all over the world for the late actor.
