EXCLUSIVE! Brian Dowling admits: 'No one watched my TV3 show'

Brian Dowling has opened up about the failure of his TV3 show Sitting On A Fortune.

The former Big Brother winner was chosen to present the prime time game show last year, however it failed to resonate with audiences.

Brian told Goss.ie he thought the show was very confusing and admitted that he didn’t even watch it himself.

“I don’t think anyone watched it, even I didn’t watch it because I don’t live here,” he said.

“The good thing about that was, it was the same guy that picked me for Big Brother, Jeff Ford. I had never done a game show before and he just said ‘be yourself'”.

“I really enjoyed it. It was an amazing opportunity but I don’t think people understood the premise of the show.

“I was hosting it and I found it hard to get it. We shot like fifteen of them or something and I still didn’t get it on the last show.

Speaking at the launch of Justeat.ie’s Valentine’s Day survey, Brian also opened up about his future in TV and revealed that he’s been approached to do several reality shows.

“I’ve always been very lucky, I’ve been doing it fifteen years. I’m in the position where I can still say no to stuff and I’m not saying that to sound arrogant.

“I get offered a lot of reality shows. I’ve been offered the jungle before, a few years ago,” he told Goss.ie.

“It’s probably one of the ones that I would do now. I met with the guys from The Jump but we had our honeymoon.

Lovebirds: Brian and Arthur married last year | NAOISE CULHANE

Since getting married to his long-term love Arthur Gouroulian, Brian admitted that he’s become lazy about looking for his next TV gig.

“Since I’ve got married I’ve become really lazy. I spent all those years being independent and doing so much stuff myself and now Arthur is going, ‘get off your fat ass and go and get a job'”.

Brian and Arthur launched Just Eat’s Valentine’s survey which revealed that Donald Trump, Enda Kenny and Katie Hopkins toped a poll of celebrities Irish people would least like to go on a Valentine’s date with.

The survey revealed that singletons feel one of the best things to do in Valentine’s night is being able to choose your own takeaway without having to consult anyone.

Singetons also chose Jennifer Lawrence and Bradley Cooper as their dream celeb date for Valentine’s Day.
