“The irony is they had been thinking of approaching me to do this before I was burgled because the main target for robbers is people of my age,” she told the Irish Sun.

“Then when they heard I had been burgled, the ad people thought, ‘Oh my God, there’s timing. Twink would be the best person on a poster, saying, ‘I don’t want this to happen to anyone else.”

Twink revealed the burglars took several of her prized possessions from her years spent in showbiz.

“They got every ring I ever had. Every bit of jewellery I owned but also family rings owned by my mother and grandmother that I had planned to pass on to my daughters and their children when they come along.”

The TV star admitted that her home is now a “kip” after what the thieves did to it.

“My beautiful home is now a kip. It has been destroyed. Vandalism is what they did to my house,” she said.

“They ripped out panels looking for valuables, the safe, metal covers. It was something they systematically did over the hours they were in my house.”
