Here’s what Beyoncé and Jay-Z named their twins

The names of Beyoncé and Jay-Z’s twins have finally been revealed – and it’s not what we expected.

According to TMZ, the happy couple have named the newest additions to their family Rumi and Sir Carter.

The news was revealed after Beyoncé and Jay Z’s company that owns the trademarks to their monikers filed legal documents to secure the rights to the names Rumi Carter and Sir Carter.

TMZ reports that the trademarks are “for fragrances, cosmetics, key chains, baby teething rings, strollers, mugs, water bottles, hair ribbons, playing cards, tote bags, sports balls and rattles and novelty items.”

It comes after rumours that the couple had chosen the names Shawn and Bea for their babies, who are rumoured to be a boy and a girl.

Beyoncé gave birth earlier this month at a Los Angeles hospital, and her father announced the twins’ arrival on Instagram on June 18th.

The rapper and the singer confirmed they were expecting twins in February and are also parents to five-year-old daughter Blue Ivy.

Meanwhile Jay-Z has just released his 4:44 album, in which he responds to cheating rumours and apologises to Beyoncé.
