Michael Bublé releases statement after reports that his son Noah is ‘cancer-free’

Michael Bublé has released a statement about his three-year-old son Noah, after reports yesterday suggest that he was “cancer-free”.

The Canadian took to his Facebook page, and gushed about his “brave” little boy as he is “progressing well” during treatment for liver cancer.

“We are so grateful to report that our son Noah has been progressing well during his treatment and the doctors are very optimistic about the future for our little boy. He has been brave throughout and we continue to be inspired by his courage,” he wrote.

“We thank God for the strength he has given all of us. Our gratitude to his doctors and caretakers cannot be put into words. We’d like to thank the thousands of people that have sent their prayers and good wishes to us. As we continue this journey we are greatly comforted by your support and love,” he added.

The singer spoke out one day after his sister-in-law allegedly told a journalist that Noah was now “cancer-free”.

Argentinian journalist Tomas Dente told TV show Nosotros A La Mañana this week that Noah’s aunt, nutritionist Daniela Lopilato, had told him, “‘The cancer has gone.’ I’m going to read word for word what Daniela told me because I don’t want to miss out even a comma,” he said on the programme.

“There’s a sentence which I think is wonderful and has to do with the information a colleague of mine had received, and I insist there’s no official confirmation because Noah’s parents haven’t spoken, but in principle the youngster is on the mend. The sentence is: ‘The cancer has gone’.”

However, after the news broke, Noah’s aunt Daniela Lopilato denied the claims on Twitter by tweeting, “Don’t use my name in the media with information and things that I haven’t said. Noah is doing well and his parents will speak when they want to! Thank you!”

Michael, 41, and his Argentinian wife Luisana, 29, confirmed that Noah had been diagnosed with cancer back in November, after doctors performed a liver biopsy in Buenos Aires.
