Paris Jackson: ‘I’m offended by Sky Arts portrayal of my dad Michael Jackson’

The American is the late singer's second oldest child

Michael Jackson’s daughter Paris Jackson has admitted she is incredibly offended by Sky Arts portrayal of her father.

The trailer for Sky Art’s newest series Urban Myths brings to life reportedly true stories, including the late singer’s supposed journey with Elizabeth Taylor and Marlon Brando following 9/11.

At the time when it was announced that actor Joseph Fiennes would take on the role of Michael, many voiced their outrage that a white man would play the music legend.

Now, Paris has taken to Twitter to voice her upset at how her father is shown in the series.

“I’m so incredibly offended by it, as I’m sure plenty of people are as well, and it honestly makes me want to vomit,” she wrote.

Paris also mentioned her godmother Elizabeth Taylor who is portrayed by actress Stockard Channing, who played Rizzo in the hit musical Grease.

“It angers me to see how obviously intentional it was for them to be this insulting, not just towards my father, but my godmother Elizabeth [Taylor] as well,” she said.

Meanwhile, director Ben Palmer defended his decision to cast Joseph as Michael.

“We were really looking for the performance that could unlock the spirit, and we really think Joe Fiennes has done that,” he told The Guardian.

“He’s given a really sweet, nuanced, characterful performance.

“It’s a really lovely, sweet film. I’m really looking forward to seeing how people react once they’ve actually seen it.”
