Peaky Blinders’ star Charlotte Riley is set to play Kate Middleton in a new BBC drama.
The actress, who is married to her Peaky Blinders co-star and Hollywood hunk Tom Hardy, will star alongside Oliver Chris, who will play Prince William, and Tim Pigott-Smith who will star as King Charles III.
The drama will envision a world with the Prince of Wales as king, who causes political chaos as he refuses to sign a controversial bill, which results in rioting on the streets and a tank in front of Buckingham Palace.

The programme will be 90 minutes long, and is based on the 2014 Laurence Olivier play of the same name.
Speaking about the new role, Charlotte said, “It’s such a unique project, to be both modern and rich in verse and to play someone who is real but yet totally re-imagined for this story.
“Kate Middleton is a really interesting woman, particularly within the context of this play, and it is a challenge I am really looking forward to,” she said, according to the Associated Press.
