Adele dedicates Grammy award to Beyonce: ‘I can’t accept this’

Adele dedicated her Grammy for Album of the Year to Beyonce.

The singer won Best Song and Record of the Year at the biggest music awards ceremony – but when she won her final award, she had to stop and give a shout out to Beyonce.

“I can’t possibly accept this award,” she said as she stood on stage with her fifth Grammy of the night.

“I am very humbled and I am very grateful and gracious but my artist of my life is Beyonce and this album for me, the Lemonade album – was just so monumental Beyonce,” she added.

Take a look at her full speech here:

Meanwhile, Adele was forced to re-start her moving tribute to George Michael during the ceremony.

The singer, who performed Hello earlier in the night, had difficulties getting the key right during her performance.

Stopping the emotional moment, Adele swore on live TV and asked producers to restart her version of George’s track Fast Love.

“I’m sorry, I’m so sorry,” she told viewers. “I can’t mess this up,” she added, “not for him”.
