Blinkin Park cancel upcoming tour dates in the wake of Chester Bennington’s death

Blink 182 have cancelled their upcoming tour dates – days after Chester Bennington reportedly took his life.

The band were set to team up with Linkin Park for a ‘Welcome To Blinkin Park’ tour, but have now told fans none of the dates will be going ahead.

“blink-182 is wrecked by the loss of our friend and amazing musician Chester Bennington,” the group wrote in a note on social media.

“We could never imagine playing blinkin park without his incredible talent and voice. It just would not be possible. We send our deepest sympathies to his family, bandmates, friends and fans. Refunds will be available at the place of purchase.”

Celebrities all over the world have been paying tribute to the Linkin Park frontman, with stars like Jared Leto and Gavin Rossdale all expressing their shock and sadness.

Actor and singer Jared shared a personal note on Twitter, saying he would never forget the singer.

Since his untimely death, Linkin Park have set up a new web page Chester.linkpark.com which gives information about suicide prevention hotlines around the world.
