Celine Dion is still grieving after the death of her husband Rene Angelil in January 2016.
The singer opened up about coping with the loss in an interview with Bizarre‘s Dan Wootton, and said she isn’t ready to think about dating somebody else.
“Now it is definitely too soon for me,” Celine explained. “I am definitely in love with him, married to him. He’s the love of my life.

“It’s very difficult for me to see myself with another person. The love that I have for him, I live it every day. And as a woman, we do have emotions and feelings that come and go. And it’s always with him.”
She added: “When I sing, it’s with him. When I hug my kids, it’s for him and it’s with him. I took time to grieve and I’m still grieving.”
Rene passed away after a battle with cancer, and Celine welled up with tears while discussing the final moments of her husband and manager’s life.
“When he passed, I stand by his side and I said, ‘You know what, it’s OK, you know you didn’t deserve to suffer that much,'” she remembered. “He was cold. I said, ‘It’s enough, it’s enough of suffering. You gave so much, you don’t deserve that.’

“I said, ‘I’m fine, the kids are fine, OK, everything is going to be OK. You taught me, you taught me well. I’m going to use it.’ And that’s what I do every day—so Rene will never die.”
The 49-year-old, who recently recorded the song How Does a Moment Last Forever for the Beauty and the Beast live-action reboot, was just 12 years old when she first met Rene, while he was 38.
They started a relationship in 1987 when she was 19, and married in December 1994 after a three-year engagement. Rene shared sons René-Charles, 16, and Eddy and Nelson, six, with Celine.
Celine told Bizarre that she bought a “huge bed” and has slept in it with her twins every night since Rene’s death.
