Dance Moms star Abby Lee Miller has been sentenced to prison

Abby Lee Miller was just sentenced to one year and one day in prison after being charged with fraud.

The Dance Moms star is likely to serve time at a correctional facility near Los Angeles, and according to Deadline she will begin her sentence in about a few weeks.

As well as time behind bars, the reality star will also have two years of supervised release, and cried in the courtroom as she received her sentencing in Pittsburgh on Tuesday morning.

“You weren’t truthful, even when you knew you were supposed to tell everything, you still weren’t truthful,” Chief Judge Joy Flowers Conti said. “Somehow you got caught up in the world of fame and you lost your moral compass.”

Miller was indicted on 20 counts of fraud in October after concealing $755,000 in earnings from her TV show from the courts.

She recently pleaded guilty to concealing bankruptcy assets and failing to report an international monetary transaction.

Miller will also have to pay a $40,000 fine and a $120,000 judgement which she has two weeks to appeal.

Meanwhile the 50-year-old announced she was quitting Dance Moms – which has launched the careers of Maddie Ziegler and Chloe Lukasiak – in March.
