EXCLUSIVE! Angelina Jolie’s father Jon Voight gives an update on the actress and her children

Jon Voight says Angelina Jolie and her children are “good” amid her divorce from Brad Pitt.

The actor chatted to LAGoss.com at the premiere of his latest movie American Wrestler: The Wizard in Los Angeles on Wednesday night.

“Yes, they’re doing good. They’re doing good, thank you,” he told us when asked how Angelina and her six kids are.

Angelina filed for divorce from Brad in September after 12 years together and two years of marriage, and following a nasty split they are now said to be amicably co-parenting their children.

Jon also chatted to us about his exciting new movie, about 17-year-old Ali Jahana who faces adversity when he moves to a small and unwelcoming town in California.

Ali must become a hero after joining the school wrestling team in American Wrestler: The Wizard, which is based on true events.

“They’re doing good”: Jon Voight gave LAGoss.com an update on Angelina Jolie and her children at the premiere of his new movie American Wrestler: The Wizard

“It’s a universal message of people facing adversity and having success, with the help of other people,” he told us. “It’s great, it’s a lovely movie.”

And despite his esteemed career, Jon said he didn’t need to give advice to the young actors on set.

“We all help each other,” he explained. “Bill Fichtner is a wonderful actor, and I’ve always wanted to work with him, actually. I worked with him in the movie Heat, but only on the telephone.

“And so now we get to work [together] and I like him very much. I was there to support the film, that’s what I was doing.”

Jon added: “George [Kosturos, who plays Ali] is a very special young man and he’s perfect for this role and he does a great job. And he’s very cute too! The girls are going to go crazy for him. He’s a very nice boy.”

American Wrestler: The Wizard will be screened at limited cinemas on May 3rd through Fathom Events.
