Hollywood Walk of Fame’s Class of 2018 includes Jennifer Lawrence, Mark Hamill and Steve Irwin

The Hollywood Walk of Fame Class of 2018 has been announced – and it’s full of the brightest stars around.

Jennifer Lawrence and Mark Hamill are among the A-listers set to receive a star next year, while Steve Irwin is being honoured posthumously.

“Dad changed the world by reaching out to people through their television screens to bring them on the adventure of a lifetime,” Steve’s daughter Bindi shared on Instagram. “To have his name on a Hollywood Star means the world as we carry on his important work.”

And after Kirsten Dunst’s name was announced she shared a sweet text message from her mother.

“OMG I’m crying and at Vons. I’m so happy. Tell me more Sat. Can we celebrate?” it read.

Zoe Saldana, Jack Black, Jeff Goldblum, Nick Nolte, F. Gary Gray, Gina Lollobrigida and Minnie Mouse are the other stars being celebrated in the motion picture category.

The TV icons set to receive stars are Anthony Anderson, Gillian Anderson, Lynda Carter, Simon Cowell, RuPaul, Taraji P. Henson, Eric McCormack, Ryan Murphy, Niecy Nash, Mandy Patinkin and Shonda Rhimes.

Meanwhile Mary J. Blige, Sir Richard Branson, Petula Clark, Harry Connick Jr., Ice T, Snoop Dogg, Carrie Underwood and Weird Al Yankovic are being honoured in the recording category.

Finally Steve Jones will receive a star for his radio work and Charles Aznavour, Lin-Manuel Miranda and the late Bernie Mac will be given stars in the Live Theatre/Live Performance category.

Those being honoured now have two years to schedule their Hollywood Walk of Fame star unveiling ceremonies.
