Home Alone star John Heard has sadly passed away at the age of 72.
According to TMZ, the actor was found dead in his hotel room by maid services, and the cause of death is still unknown.
John had “minor back surgery” on Wednesday at Stanford Medical Center, according to his rep, and he was staying at the hotel while he recovered.
Known best for his role as Peter McCallister in Home Alone, John also had roles in iconic films such as Big, Beaches, and Gladiator.
