Local aid worker claims adoption papers for Angelina Jolie’s son Maddox were ‘faked’

Angelina Jolie’s adoption papers for her son Maddox were reportedly faked, according to a local aid worker.

Director of an aid charity, Mounh Sarath, has sensationally claimed that he signed official documents in Cambodia that named him the father of Maddox, in order to speed up the adoption process and provide a local address.

Angelina took on the care of the now 15-year-old back in 2003 when she was still married to Billy Bob Thornton, but The Sun on Sunday has reported that “there is no suggestion that Angelina or Thornton were aware of Mr Sarath’s actions”.

In an explosive interview with the newspaper, Mounh alleged, “In court documents, Maddox is still my son. She never cleared this up.”

“She had to change his name, so the only way was for me to do it. I said he’s my son.”

The 51-year-old aid worker also revealed that he has power of attorney over Maddox, and that he has fallen out with Angelina.

“I would be happy if Cambodia didn’t see her again,” he added.

Adding fuel to the fire, Maddox’s adoption was arranged by agent Lauryn Galindo, who was jailed for 18 months after falsifying names, birth dates and places of birth of Cambodian children she helped to place with US families.

Family: Angelina is mother to six children – three of which are adopted | HELLO!

Angelina is mother to six children – including Maddox (15), Pax (13), Zahara (12), as well as Shiloh (10) and eight-year-old twins Vivienne and Knox, who she welcomed with her now estranged husband Brad Pitt.

Three of Angelina’s children, Maddox, Pax and Zahara, were all adopted by the actress.

Speaking about adoption previously, Angelina insisted that everything she has done has been totally legal.

“I prefer to stay on the right side of the law. I would never take a child away from a place where adoption is illegal,” she said.
