Bradley Cooper has given his first full interview since becoming a father.
The actor – whose girlfriend Irina Shayk gave birth to their baby Lea de Seine in March – sat down with Ellen DeGeneres on Friday to discuss Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 and A Star Is Born, but was less keen to talk about his daughter.
However the host couldn’t resist poking fun at Bradley – and praising his parenting skills at the same time, saying, “I knew you’d be a good father when I saw you in American Sniper. He’s so good with a baby.”

Bradley responded with a laugh: “I can’t believe you. We already went through this before.”
Ellen then aired a clip from the movie which showed the star cradling a fake baby and using his finger to move the doll’s arm.
“It’s such a dramatic scene! And yet your little finger is…,” the host said before bursting into a fit of laughter.

Bradley also discussed working with Lady Gaga on the A Star Is Born, which he is writing, directing and starring in.
“I’ve really been awakened to the phenomenon of singing,” he said. “I just hope I can be believable enough so you can watch Stefani—that’s her name, Gaga—just shine.
“Because she’s incredible. I just have to make sure at least you believe my character, so she can then be incredible.”
