Teenagers often come up with creative “promposals”, but one has pulled out all the stops to ask Emma Stone to be his date.
Jacob Staudenmaier recreated Another Day of Sun, the opening number from La La Land, and shared the inventive video on Twitter.
The Phoenix teen enlisted the help of his friends, who sat part in parked cars, wielded signs, danced and made jokes at his expense in the background.

Jacob danced around the parking lot and even created his own lyrics to the song in the video, which quickly went viral.
There’s no word yet on whether Emma has seen the video, or if she will agree to attend the prom, but we’re hoping the fact she grew up in Scottsdale may sway this in Jacob’s favour.
The 28-year-old won the Best Actress Academy Awards for her role as Mia in the musical in February, after Jimmy Fallon recreated the opening number to kick off the Oscars.
