Brendan Gleeson has opened up on starting his film career later in life at the age of 34.
The Dubliner had always had a passion for acting having being involved in his school's drama group and acted in theatre while he was working as a secondary school.
"I was well into a whole life before starting another," he said.

The actor admitted that beginning a film career at an older age is more normal now because people are going through college in their 20s.
"Thirty four is late to be starting from scratch," he told the Sunday Indo Living.
"It's not so bad now because people are going to college through their 20s - but I had four kids and stuff so I was well into a whole life before starting another."

"Yeah, I have been busy and the last few years have been a bit crowded.
"It starts getting a bit much at times but I'm not complaining, it's been great," he added.
