Filming for Deadpool 2 has resumed following the death of a stuntperson on set.
On Monday, 40-year-old stuntwoman Joi ‘SJ’ Harris lost her life in a motorcycle crash on the set of the upcoming superhero flick in Vancouver, Canada.
Filming was suspended after the tragic accident, but according to The Hollywood Reporter –Â production has now restarted.
Ryan Reynolds, who plays the role of Deadpool, paid tribute to Joi on Instagram, writing, “Today, we tragically lost a member of our crew while filming Deadpool.”
“We’re heartbroken, shocked and devastated … but recognize nothing can come close to the grief and inexplicable pain her family and loved ones must feel in this moment.
“My heart pours out to them — along with each and every person she touched in this world.”
20th Century Fox also released a statement saying, “We are deeply saddened by the accident that occurred on the set of Deadpool 2 this morning. Our hearts and prayers are with the family, friends and colleagues of our crew member during this difficult time.”
