PIC: Michael Fassbender’s new role in Alien: Covenant film revealed

The actor will play two roles in the film, the android David and new character Walter

Michael Fassbender is set to play two roles in the upcoming Alien film, Alien: Covenant – and his newest character has been revealed.

Fans were first introduced to the Kerry man’s character, the android David, in 2012’s Prometheus directed by Ridley Scott.

In the story’s next film, a new character will be introduced and will also be played by the 39-year-old – and now we finally know what he will look like.

On the film’s Twitter, they released an eery image of Michael barefoot at a grand piano.

With no caption, the photo shows the actor dressed in all white looking stern and with his natural brown hair – a vast different from the blonde and animated android David, who is set to return to the story.

The new character is called Walter but not much else is known about him.

Alien: Convenant will follow on Ridley’s original Alien film, which he directed back in 1979 and follows the story of a crew who set out to find a remote, uninhabited planet and discover Mihcael’s original character David as the sole inhabitant.

The film is set for release in May 2017.
