WATCH: Blade Runner 2049 FINALLY releases trailer – and it was worth the wait

Fans are finally getting their first in-depth look at Blade Runner 2049.

The first trailer for the much-anticipated sequel to the 1982 Ridley Scott movie was released on Monday – and it doesn’t disappoint.

The movie, set 30 years after the original, will follow Ryan Gosling as LAPD blade runner Officer K, who uncovers the key to the future while hunting replicants.

To help him on his mission K tracks down Harrison Ford’s character Rick Deckard (who was the focus of the first movie), a blade runner who has been missing for the last three decades.

Jared Leto additionally stars as the villain of the movie and a replicant manufacturer named Wallace, whose appearance in the trailer will give you chills.

The exciting clip also gave a glimpse of Robin Wright’s character, who is the boss of Officer K.

“There is an order to things,” she says. “That’s what we do here: We keep order. The world is built on a wall that separates kind. Tell either side there’s no wall, you bought a war.”

While the new trailer already has fans on the edge of their seats, they will have to wait until October 6th for the Denis Villeneuve movie to hit cinemas.
