Here’s the full list of 2017 MTV VMAs nominations

The nominations for the 2017 MTV VMAs have arrived.

Kendrick Lamar is leading the pack with eight nods in total, while Katy Perry and The Weeknd have five each.

Kendrick (for HUMBLE.) and The Weeknd (for Reminder) are competing for the top honour of Video of the Year.

They’ll be battling it out alongside Bruno Mars for 24K Magic, Alessia Cara for Scars to Your Beautiful, and DJ Khaled’s Wild Thoughts featuring Rihanna and Bryson Tiller.

And following the success of the MTV Movie & TV Awards’ non-gendered awards, the Best Male Video and Best Female Video categories are being combined into Artist of the Year.

Bruno Mars, Kendrick Lamar, Ed Sheeran, Ariana Grande, The Weeknd and Lorde are nominated for the prize.

The 2017 MTV Video Music Awards will take place on Sunday, August 27th.
