Jason Orange quit Take That after claiming that the band ‘ruined his life’

Take That’s former manager has claimed that Jason Orange left the band after previously saying that it was “ruining his life”.

Jason left the band in 2014, but their ex manager Nigel Martin-Smith, who created Take That in 1989, has insisted that the singer had been unhappy long before then.

Speaking to the Daily Star, Nigel said, “When I put Jason in the band he loved it but he turned around years later and said he was upset with me.”

“He said he couldn’t sing, he wasn’t a musician and I had no right to put him in the band. He wanted to know why I did it to him.

“He said he had loads of issues as a result of it and seemed to blame me for ruining his life. I couldn’t believe it,” he explained.

“I said ‘Jay, you’ve travelled the world first class, stayed in five-star hotels, had women throwing themselves at you, had the most amazing life, with how many millions in the bank.’ It must have been so horrible for him. That’s how bizarre it is.”

Jason officially left Take That in 2014, and said in a statement, “There has been no falling out, only a decision on my part that I no longer wish to do this.”

Since quitting the band, Jason has remained out of the spotlight entirely, and has not spoken to the media since leaving Take That.

However, Jason is still said to be in close contact with his former bandmates.
