First Zayn Malik signed a record deal, next it was Harry Styles and now another One Direction star is going solo.
Liam Payne has announced he has signed with Capitol Records and will be releasing his first solo record.
Taking to Twitter Liam told his 23 million followers that he had signed with the company, but insisted One Direction will always be in his heart.
“Happy to have signed to @CapitolUK. They have an amazing history of artists, I hope I can follow in their footsteps,” he wrote.

The news comes in the midst of rumours the UK star wants to start a family with his girlfriend Cheryl.
