U2 tickets are now being sold for over €2,000 by ticket touts.
The popular ticket re-sale site Seatwave, a sister site of Ticketmaster.ie, came under fire for tickets for the summer gig went on sale before the official release.
Tickets for the concert sold out in just six minutes, with consumer experts claiming this was because of dedicated fans but also opportunists who saw a money-making scheme.

One pair of tickets for the standing section was being sold at €2,070, including additional charges, which is 13 times above face value.
A spokesperson for the Consumers Association of Ireland, told the Irish Independent that unregulated ticket-touting laws leave the consumer in a “very, very bad position.”
The spokesperson isn’t the only one to hit out at the ticket-touting laws with a TD stepping in and asking the government to crack down on stronger laws and fans have also voiced their outrage at tickets being sold on re-sale sites.
