Snow Patrol fans can finally rejoice as the top Irish band are heading back into the studio.
It’s been three years since the quintet released any new music and fans will have to only have to wait until the end of the year to hear the band’s new musical offering.
A follow up to their critically acclaimed album Fallen Empires drummer Jonny Quinn broke the exciting news yesterday.

“We are about start work on our album in March and we should have it out in October, that is the plan.”
“This is definitely going happen, we will have an album out for this year for sure, but it will be towards October, November latest,” he revealed.
Speaking to Eoghan McDermott on The Louise McSharry Show, the Bangor musician revealed he has been keeping busy during the band’s hiatus and has recently joined the new Guinness Amplify campaign to nurture upcoming Irish talent.

Quite the hands on mentor, the 42-year-old admitted “I listened to 800 bands that takes a long time – I don’t think they quite believed me.”
Excited about the Guinness Amplify campaign, Jonny revealed he got involved as it wasn’t a band competition with one winner but rather helped a number of new artists and bands.
Chatting about his new role, he excitedly said “speak to people in studio, talk to the artists and give them some of my experience.”
