The winner of this year’s Eurovision Song Contest is Portugal, with their entry Salvador Sobral.
This is Portugal’s very first time to ever win the song contest.
Salvador is a 27-year-old Portuguese singer who placed seventh in Idolos, the country’s version of Pop Idol. He released his debut album, Excuse Me, in 2016.
The winning song Amar Pelos Dois or Love For Two in English, was written by Sobral’s sister, Luisa.
Bulgaria came in second, with their entry Kristian Kostov.
He is a 17-year-old singer who was born in Moscow, Russia, to a Bulgarian father and Kazakh mother.
He moved to his native Bulgaria to take part in the country’s version of X Factor, finishing second in the competition in 2016.
A bizarre moment occurred near the end of the contest, when a man snuck on stage and mooned the audience.
