Newstalk announces team of new presenters

Newstalk have revealed a new team of presenters, including journalists Paul Williams and Sarah McInerney, TV3 broadcaster Colette Fitzpatrick, and former rugby star Alan Quinlan.

Paul and Colette will be replacing the departing Ivan Yates as the third co-anchor and they will rotate with station regular, Shane Coleman, to host the Breakfast Show.

“We’re delighted to welcome Colette, Paul, Sarah and Alan on board,” Garrett Harte, the station’s Editor-in-Chief, revealed.

Garrett is excited to have the new guys on the team, as he says they are going to offer something new.

“They bring energy, curiosity and the dynamism to complement the great team of presenters we already have at the station,” he admitted to the Irish Independent.

“We’re hugely excited at the entire team we have assembled, and we are particularly pleased that Colette Fitzpatrick has been able to join our breakfast team in addition to her ongoing commitments to TV3.”

Also joining the Breakfast team is former international rugby star and columnist, Alan Quinlan, who will be the Sports Anchor on the team.

Sunday Times journalist Sarah McInerney will be joined by Newstalk regular, Chris Donoghue, for a drivetime slot called Drive.

Station pro, George Hook, will be moving to a new lunchtime slot from 12pm to 2pm with a new midday show offering listeners something different during their lunch.
