ANOTHER Irish presenter has been linked to Strictly Come Dancing

Angela Scanlon is the latest Irish star to be linked to BBC’s Strictly Come Dancing.

According to reports, the BBC are keen to book the presenter as one of the show’s contestants this year – because she’s seen as a “rising star”.

The flame-haired star has been making waves over in the UK, as a host on Robot Wars and The One Show in recent times.

“The BBC always look after their own, and they see Angela as a rising star whose stock they can grow even more by putting her on Strictly,” a source told The Sun.

“She really impressed on The One Show and has done a great job on Robot Wars.”

Fellow Irish presenter Laura Whitmore appeared on the show last year, and although she didn’t win – she seriously impressed on the dance floor.

Meanwhile, other names on Strictly’s wish list include Joan Collins, Samantha Womack, and Frank Lampard.

The next series of Strictly will see the debut of new head judge Shirley Ballas, alongside returning judges Darcey Bussell, Craig Revel Horwood and Bruno Tonioli.

Shirley will take over from Len Goodman, who retired from the show at the end of the last series.
