Colin Farrell and Liam Neeson FINALLY set to star in same movie

Colin Farrell has been cast alongside fellow Irish man Liam Neeson and Oscar-winning actress Viola Davis in upcoming thriller Widows.

According to Variety, the film is the brainchild of 12 Years a Slave director Steve McQueen and Gone Girl author Gillian Flynn.

Widows will be based on the 1980s ITV series of the same name, which was created by British author Lynda La Plante.

The mini series’ plot was, “Three armed robbers, Harry Rawlins, Terry Miller and Joe Pirelli, die when the security van that they are robbing catches fire in the Kingsway Tunnel in London.”

“Their widows, Dolly Rawlins, Shirley Miller and Linda Pirelli, find their husbands’ plans for the robbery and decide to stage it themselves. They enlist the help of a fourth woman, Bella O’Reilly and succeed in making off with the cash. Then Dolly learns that her husband didn’t die in the robbery. And now he wants his money back…”

Colin is set to play a politician who finds himself caught up in the widows’ plan.

The cast also includes Fast & Furious star Michelle Rodriguez, Moonlight’s Andre Holland and Get Out star Daniel Kaluuya.

The news comes after it was revealed that Colin is set to star in the live-action remake of Dumbo, however, Variety is now reporting that production on that movie has been pushed back a month so he can star in Widows.
