Des Cahill may not appear on Dancing With The Stars this week, as he’s been struck down with both illness AND injury.
RTÉ have confirmed that Des is suffering with conjunctivitis, a sinus infection, fluid on the knee and a calf strain – all at once.
The show is halfway through the season, so it’s absolutely vital that Des impresses on the dance floor – as he and Teresa Mannion found themselves in the bottom two of the judges’ leaderboard last week.
This Sunday’s episode will feature a brand new twist, as celebrities will be pushed out of their comfort zone by switching dance partners. There will also be no elimination.
If Des recovers in time for Sunday night, he’ll be dancing the Samba to Quando, Quando, Quando by Engelbert Humperdinck.
