Des Cahill reveals hopes to be back on DWTS this weekend

Des Cahill has revealed that he hopes to be back on Dancing With The Stars this weekend.

RTE said earlier this week that the sports pundit was suffering with conjunctivitis, a sinus infection, fluid on the knee and a calf strain - all at once.

However, Dancing Dessie wants to be back on the floor on Sunday.

Des took to Twitter to tell his fans about his recovery.

"Hoping the great efforts of Dr. Conor O'Brien in Santry Sports Clinic will get me back dancing for Dancing With The Stars on Sunday," he wrote.

Des is very popular among fans and is saved every week, despite the judges low scores.

Last week, Des Bishop received the third highest scores from the judges but was voted off - and people were outraged.
