Ed Sheeran has revealed he is the owner of a Coppers Members Card.
The British singer has been in Ireland all week, filming his video for Galway Girl as well as performing in the 3 Arena.
On Thursday Ed co-hosted The Eoghan McDermott Show on 2FM, and although he admitted he’s been too sick to head out on a night out, the singer admitted to having a gold card for Copper Face Jacks – not that he knows what it actually does.
When Eoghan slagged him for wearing singer sun glasses in studio, trying to hide his cold, Ed boasted “what about my Copper Face Jacks card”?
Ed said he doesn’t know “what it does” and went on to ask if it was similar to a UK nightclub called Tiger Tiger.
Eoghan educated him by letting him know Coppers was a “national institution”, especially after all-Ireland finals.
The radio DJ ended the programme by saying “see you in Coppers later”, so who knows…
