A host of celebrities are set to star in Ed Sheeran’s video Galway Girl, and Goss.ie can exclusively reveal that Saoirse Ronan has a starring role.
Ed brought the city of Galway to a stop this week, when he filmed the music video for his hit track Galway Girl in O’Connell’s pub in Eyre Square.
Crowds gathered to get a sneak peek at Ed, but while some people never got to see the British star, a source exclusively tells Goss.ie that Saoirse Ronan was there.
“Saoirse tried to remain low key but she was spotted going into O’Connors pub in Eyre Square,” our insider revealed.

“She was snuck inside but some people saw her filming in the pub.
“She was dancing on the table along to the music of Galway Girl, and she was having a great time,” they added.
Fans were quick to spot that Saoirse and Ed were spotted “hanging out” beforehand.
Comedian Tommy Tiernan is already confirmed to have shot scenes for the video.

Yesterday the actress celebrated her 23rd birthday, with MCD Director Caroline Downey sharing photos of the Oscar nominee enjoying the sunshine.
Saoirse headed to the first night of Ed’s 3Arena gig last night, alongside other stars like Jedward and Claudine Keane.
