Actress Caitriona Balfe won the best actress award at the People’s Choice Awards.
The 36-year-old took home the honour for Favourite Sci-Fi/Fantasy TV actress for her role in Outlander.
While the Starz series Outlander won Favourite Cable Sci-Fi/Fantasy TV show also at the awards.

Although receiving the honour, the TV star was unable to attend the awards due to work commitments.
Later this week, Caitriona will make an appearance at the Golden Globe Award where she nominated for Best Actress in a TV Series, Drama category.
Meanwhile Liam Neeson’s popular flick Taken 3 took home the gong for Favourite Thriller Movie also at the People’s Choice Awards.
