BBC

Graham Norton is set to pen his SECOND novel, it has been revealed.

The chat show host was delighted with such positive feedback after he released his debut book, Holding, back in October – which has also been snapped up to be made into a television series.

Speaking to The Sun, Graham confirmed that his publisher Hodder & Stoughton want the Cork man to pen his next book straight away.

“I’m doing another one. I’ve started this year and it will come out next year,” he revealed.

Success: Graham released his debut novel last year

Graham’s first novel Holding is a murder-mystery set in a fictional Irish village, and is now being developed for TV by former EastEnders boss Dominic Treadwell-Collins.

Speaking about penning his first book, Graham revealed how he managed to release a fictional-novel in the first place.

“I wanted to write a novel — they wanted a memoir. So we did a twobook deal and they got the memoir first, then I gave them the novel they didn’t want.

“I have to read a lot of celebrity novels for work and so long as it’s better than most of them, I’ll be OK.”

The 53-year-old recently picked up a Special Recognition Award at the National Television Awards, AND signed a brand new three-year deal with the BBC.

“I think it takes the pressure off because now you can relax and say, ‘Oh great, we’re in it for the long haul’. The BBC have committed, we’re committed, so I think it’s a nice feeling,” he said.
