Adele King, aka Twink, is somewhat of a national hero in Ireland – and she just turned 65 today!
From being the queen of panto, to the queen of cakes, Twink has had a long career in the showbiz world.
So in honour of it being this fabulous lady’s birthday, we’ve compiled a list of Twink’s finest moments that make us love her.
1. She’s a Panto Queen
Twink is known best for being the queen of panto, and while she hasn’t hit the stage in a while – we’ll always remember her moments under the spotlight.
Who can forget THATÂ photocall for Aladdin in which she played Widow Twinkee – and of course her beloved pooch Teddy is by her side.
We’d love to see Twink take on a panto role again soon!
2. Puppy LoveÂ
Who would Twink be without her little dog Teddy?
Her Yorkshire Terrier darling is always by her side, and even caused some controversy recently as people thought he had fainted on the table as she appeared on TV3’s Midday – but really he was just asleep!
In fact, in honour of her birthday, she went back on Midday this morning where they surprised her with a cake – which hilariously resembles herself with a sleeping Teddy on her lap!

3. Cake Connoisseur
Not only is Twink talented on the stage.. but she’s talented in the kitchen!
Most recently, the famous entertainer has turned her attention to baking and selling cakes – and let’s just say she’s pretty handy with the piping bag!
What can’t she do?!
4. The Gassies
The time Twink renamed our awards show The Gossies to The Gassies just made us love her even more.
Of course the star showed up with her beloved Teddy in tow, and had such a great time with everyone at The Gossies that she nicknamed the event The Gassies.
Maybe we should think of renaming it ourselves?!
5. Famous Friends
Of course, Twink being Twink, she has made plenty of celeb pals over the years.
We especially love this pic of herself and Graham Norton when they appeared on the Late Late Show.
We’d LOVE to have these two at our dinner party!
6. Banned The Booze
Another reason we love Twink is.. she’s banned the booze!
The mum-of-two turned her back on alcohol after admitting that she drank too much back in the day, and now she’s looking better than ever.
