Holly Carpenter has opened up on her Celebrity Masterchef exit and despite having a laugh, it was tough.
The former Miss Ireland competed against singer Samantha Mumba, model Nadia Forde, Olympians Sonia O’Sullivan and many more in the TV3 kitchen.
“It was a really fun experience,” she said about her quick stint on the show.

The Dubliner admitted that she was given recipes from Michelin star chefs with techniques she had never heard of before.
“It was very overwhelming task to have. I didn’t think we would have a task like that in the first episode,” she told 2FM’s Nicky Byrne and Jenny Greene.
“I thought they might ease us in but they threw us right in the deep end – and I drowned.”

Holly revealed that her fish dish left a “bitter taste” in their mouth because she didn’t put enough butter into a dish, leaving it with a strong vinegar flavour.
“When I added the chives into my sauce, they just turned black because of the acid.
“They didn’t show it on the episode but the chefs when they tasted my dish started coughing.
“They called in two production members with bottles of water for them because they couldn’t speak,” she added.
