The 2FM star married her partner Kelly Keogh in June 2016

Jenny Greene has admitted that was worried about being identified as the “gay DJ” when she began working with Nicky Byrne on their 2FM show.

The DJ started working with the Westlife star in 2014 on the popular radio station.

“There was a lot going on in my head. It seems laughable now, but I was worried that people would be talking about me,” she said.

Jenny revealed that she knew there would be interest about her, but said she is more than that.

“Because I’d started doing the daily show with Nicky, I knew there would be a lot of interest,” she told The Outmost.

“I was worried that I’d be identified as ‘the gay DJ’, and that would be the main thing about me, when it isn’t.

“I’ve been doing this for a long time.”

Reflecting back on how she first felt when starting the show, Jenny said that it’s a different experience for everyone.

“It’s funny, it feels like a different life now,” she explained when opening up on how she feels at the moment.

“It’s important to remember that time, though. Sometimes I
might look at other people and be like, ‘It’s not that big a deal, just deal with it.’

“But when you are going through it, you can’t see
outside of yourself.”
