Kathryn Thomas is officially done with people asking her about having children.
The 38-year-old has been questioned about her plans to start a family countless times over the years, and has always politely answered – admitting that she’d love to have kids one day, but only at the right time.
However, in a recent interview with VIP Magazine, the presenter, who is engaged to her partner of four years Padraig McLoughlin, revealed that she’s seriously tired of discussing the topic in public.
“It’s very much a subject for the couple. I understand why people ask, but it’s not up for public discussion,” she told VIP Magazine.

“I would like to have a family if we were blessed with one. Let’s leave it at that,” she explained.
Kathryn got engaged to Padraig late last year after he popped the question while on a weekend away, and the TV star gushed about their “very deep love”.
“It’s not rainbows and stars all the time, but we have a very deep connection and a very deep love and he understands me,” she said.
In the interview, Kathryn also revealed the secret to her success, as she’s been working as a presenter and broadcaster for around 20 years.

“It’s a lot of hard work, and connecting with the Irish audience, and also the shows you work on. It’s also about having good people to advise you. I’ve worked with two great agents – Joanne Byrne, who I worked with for years, and who I owe so much to, and now Noel Kelly. They help to take you on the right journey.”
Kathryn also opened up about how presenters always “get all the credit” when it comes to working on TV.
“The presenter is not special. You’re just a link in the chain of many talented and hard-working behind-the-scenes people. The presenter gets all the credit when really they shouldn’t,” she added.
