Laura Whitmore has admitted that she was starstruck by Daniel O’Donnell.
The presenter was competing on BBC’s Strictly Come Dancing when she met the singer, who congratulated her on her performance.
“I’m a massive Daniel O’Donnell fan, so is every single Whitmore woman,” she said.

The Bray native revealed that when Daniel congratulated her, she felt she had made it.
“I remember Daniel, I was starstruck by him,” she told Ray on The Ray D’Arcy Show.
“He came up to me afterwards, after I had topped the leaderboard.
“He told me, ‘Ireland is so proud of you,’ and I felt I had made it.
