Maia Dunphy reveals moving in with husband Johnny Vegas is strange: 'The longest time we spent together was our HONEYMOON'

RTE star Maia Dunphy has revealed moving in with husband Johnny Vegas has been an “adjustment.”

The TV personality and documentary maker has finally made the move to London, after marrying the comedian three years ago.

“I moved a month ago. He’s great,” Maia told Goss.ie.

“It’s a big adjustment living together, we’ve been married three and a half years and we’ve never lived together.

“The longest time we spent together which was two weeks. Now suddenly we’re living together in London and it’s a lovely house, a small house, it’s cosy,” she explained.

Maia admitted that the pair are trying to get to grips with living with each other, and are finding they differ on little things around the house.

“He’s like ‘I want tea bags on display’ and I’m like ‘no I want tea bags in the cupbaord’.

“And flat-pack furniture was designed to break people apart,” she said.

“It’s been an adjustment but it’s fun too. I think anybody no matter what age you are, you moves in with their partner it is an adjustment.

“We have Johnny’s son Michael who’s 11, we have him a lot of the time as well. He’s lovely and great craic.

“So I’ve gone from living in a flat on my own in Dublin to suddenly coming over here and going ‘okay I’m apart of a family now.

“It’s what we both wanted so we kind of can’t believe it now.
