Michael Fassbender gives MAJOR shout out to Irish 80’s cover band on Jimmy Fallon

Michael Fassbender made an appearance on Jimmy Fallon’s The Tonight Show and revealed details about his 40th Birthday party back in Fossa, Co.Kerry.

When asked by the American chat show host what he did to celebrate his big day, the actor said that he headed back to the Kingdom of Kerry where his sister threw him a not-so-surprise party.

Michael knew about the surprise because his sister had to ensure he would be there.


The 12 Years a Slave star thought that his sister had hired him strippers, which turned out to be an Irish 80’s cover band.

“There was this guy dressed up in like mirrored sunglasses and like an admiral suit, and I was thinking “Whoa. This just got sort of weird. What’s happening? Is this a stripper? Anyway, they were like an 80′s themed band. They were excellent.”

Dublin based 80’s cover band Spring Break were the group in question and they are actually pretty big. They play up to 140 weddings and events per year.
