B*Witched stars open up about terrifying private jet landing

B*Witched have opened up about their scary private jet landing after their Belfast gig.

The girl band were in the Northern Ireland county for the city’s Gay Pride and performed on the Saturday before flying out again to perform in Leeds that night.

“It was very scary. There was a lot of wind as we were taking off with such a bump. I went, ‘Oh my God’,” Sinead O’Carroll of the band said.

The singer admitted that the band were in a panic but praised their private jet’s pilots how well they handled the situation.

“We had only gone up when the pilot announced we needed to make an emergency landing. It was a panic,” the Dubliner told the Irish Sun.

“I’m a good flyer but Lindsay [Armaou] was freaked out – she was the worst of all of us.

“It’s hard to remember what happened because it all happened so fast. I was so shocked, the memory is blank.

“But the pilots were fantastic. I suppose they are prepared for things like this happening.

“They just got us down on the ground, and they did it really fast.”

The C’est La Vie singers were able to fly again when another jet became available but had to miss the Leeds’ Summer Sounds gig because of the delay.

“We really were committed to doing the gig, but it took three hours to organise another plane.

“We just spent that time trying to calm ourselves down,” Sinead continued.

“We were going, ‘Are we really going to get on another plane after what just happened?’

“But we did get on the second plane because we have never missed a gig.”
