Former B*Witched star Edele Lynch has revealed she had a breakdown last year after the collapse of her marriage.
The Celebrity Big Brother star had been married to fitness instructor Michael Barrett for seven years.
And the mum-of-three – who made it to the final of the Channel 5 reality show – knew she wouldn’t melt down on TV because it had already happened.
However, the 35-year-old did get extremely emotional in the Big Brother house – something she wasn’t expecting.

“I knew I wasn’t going to break down because I had a break down before Christmas,” she told the Irish Daily Mail.
“I knew my mental capabilities had already been pushed to their limits. However I didn’t quite expect how emotional it would be.”
Edele had already separated from her husband before going into Big Brother house, adding that they “had been struggling for a few years”.

She said: “I was in denial. I always wanted four kids and I wasn’t ready to let go of the idea that a fourth child was going to happen.
“We decided we should separate in December, that it would be the right thing to do and he moved out in April. We’ve been years trying to work on our marriage. We did everything to make it work but it didn’t and I have to accept it.”
