Cillian Murphy has revealed why he turned down moving to Los Angeles.
Despite the actor’s blockbuster success, having starred in a number of big budget films such as the Dark Knight Trilogy, Inception and most recently Dunkirk, the Cork native would never consider a permanent move to Hollywood.
“I love the sun and the food and the sea,” he told the Mirror.
“But LA’s not for me. I’m a European. I like seasons.”

“And, like most Irish men, I probably look better in a pair of trousers than a pair of shorts,” he quipped.
Speaking of Irish men, Cillian is set to be joined by a familiar face on the set of BBC Two’s Peaky Blinders.
This week, it was confirmed that Games of Thrones star Aidan Gillen and former Love/Hate star Charlie Murphy will join the cast of the hit crime drama for Season 4.
